Replacement Bookings Explained

Updated this week

What is a replacement booking?

If an Artist cancels (having previously accepted a Booking Request), Encore Musicians will commit to finding the client a "replacement booking" of the same standard and style as the Artist which was originally booked.

How Will I receive payment for a replacement booking?

When a client books a replacement musician, we transfer the original payment over to the new booking.

  • If your quote is higher than the original fee paid, the client will need to cover the difference.

  • If your quote is lower than the original fee paid, we’ll refund the difference to the client.

The way we process this on our system is by setting up the new booking as a ‘cash booking’. This means you may receive some automated emails mentioning that payment needs to be arranged directly. Please ignore these!

The payment will still be processed through Encore Pay as usual, using the fee transferred from the original booking.

We’ll handle all of this in the background so there’s nothing you need to worry about - and we’ll make sure you’re paid your full fee and that everything is clear to the client too.
