When a client adds a job to Encore, we automatically send you a job alert if this client's job matches your tagging settings.
Clients list jobs on Encore by filling in a form from the landing page. You can view this by heading to www.encoremusicians.com while logged out.
You can watch how jobs are added here:
In the form, clients give the following information, which helps us match you with the job accurately:
- Location
- Job alert radius (how far are you willing to travel to do a gig)
- Job date and time
- Performance duration
- Instrument/group type
- Genre
- Event type
- Budget range
- Contact details
- Other details about the event
We plan to use all these factors in future to determine which alerts you receive, but currently, we use the most important four:
- Location
- Job alert radius
- Instrument/group type
- Genre
How clients input their budget
At Encore we strongly believe in musicians being paid fairly. Most clients underestimate how much it costs to hire musicians, so we've introduced a budget visualiser to help give them an idea of how many musicians they can afford for their budget.
We've tried our best to be as comprehensive as possible with these guides, and have consulted both our musicians and musician unions to define their limits. However, in some instances a client may manage to add a job where the budget is unrealistic - in this case, we'd suggest you avoid applying for the job.
