Verifying your bank account means that we can split your payment for a job in two, and send you a deposit payment before the event date. Don't worry, if you don't manage to verify your account, you will still receive your deposit, but it will be automatically transferred to your bank account together with your final payment after the event.
Before verifying a bank account, you'll need to add one on your Settings page. Learn how to here. Then, to verify your bank account:
- Go to your Settings page and click on the profile you need to update, and then the "Bank account" tab.
-
Click the "Verify your account" text on the right of the bank account tile you need to verify.
-
By following the instructions in the dialogue box which pops up, upload a scan/photo of your ID. It must be:
-
A passport or driving licence (from one of these countries).
-
A PNG or JPG/JPEG file (note we cannot accept PDFs or other file formats).
-
Clear and readable - like the image below:
-
-
Then click "Submit ID".
-
Your ID submission will then be sent securely to our payment provider for verification. This could take up to 48 hours but if the image is clear it normally takes less than 10 minutes. You will receive an email confirming that your ID has been accepted or informing you that it has been rejected.
-
If your ID is rejected make sure that your photo is clear and the information on your chosen ID format (such as your name and DOB) matches the information you have provided in your Bank Account details. Then re-upload your ID following the same instructions as Step 2. Note: your Account name must match the name on the ID, not your group or stage name.
-
If your ID is accepted, great! You're now ready to accept deposits on all Encore Pay bookings.
-
What if I'm waiting to receive my deposit?
If you have accepted a booking request and a client has secured the booking by paying a deposit, you have 5 days in which to upload your ID successfully. If you do not upload your ID by the end of this time period, don't worry, your deposit will simply be added to your final payment.
Can I be sure my details are secure?
Encore never stores payment details. All payments on Encore are handled through Stripe, one of the world’s leading online payment providers, so you can be sure you’re in safe hands.
All data transferred is encrypted with SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). This the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the web server and browsers remain private and integral.
