So, you've sent a quote to a potential customer and you've got a feeling a booking confirmation might be just around the corner. Time to make it official.
Here's a quick guide on how to seal the deal and get that gig locked in!

Prompting a customer to book
If you've been having a promising conversation with an engaged potential customer and you sense they're ready to move forward, it's time to send them a Booking Prompt. Look out for the "Send Booking Prompt" button on the job page.
Clicking it will fire off a message to your potential client containing all the necessary details for them to finalise the booking.

Booking prompts will appear to you on your job page like this:

I can't see the option to send a Booking Prompt
This button only appears for you if the customer is engaged with you i.e they've sent you more than one message.
If you have sent messages but they haven't responded, they aren't considered engaged and you won't be able to send a Booking Prompt yet.
If you aren't seeing a Booking Prompt box, either this customer isn't engaged or the Encore team have already sent them one.

The customer isn't sure how to book me
The customer is easily able to book you by clicking the big green Book Now button that appears to them next to your quote.
Once they've clicked that green Book Now button, they'll be taken through our booking form to finalise payment details.

Don't hold dates unless the customer has concrete interest
Generally, we advise not holding any dates pre-deposit unless the customer has messaged you more than once, or asked you specifically to hold the date.
You are free to fill the date with another booking, and no one is expecting you to hold a date unless there is something concrete from the customer. Your availability might change, and that's perfectly fine - you won't be penalised.
We understand that you don't want to miss out on other opportunities in case the potential customer comes back later, but they may have applications like yours from many acts across multiple platforms.
If they have sent you messages personally on multiple occasions - great! Try and confirm the gig.
However, don't hold dates for inactive customers that haven't booked you yet. We wouldn't want you to miss out on paid work elsewhere on the off-chance a potential customer comes back after a while.
