How do you receive job alerts?
When a client adds a job to Encore, we automatically send you a job alert if this client's job matches your tagging settings.
Clients list jobs on Encore by filling in a form from the landing page.
In the form, clients give the following information, which helps us match you with the job accurately:
- Location
- Job alert radius (how far are you willing to travel to do a gig)
- Job date and time
- Performance duration
- Instrument/group type (tags)
- Genre
- Event type
- Budget range
You can learn more about how customers create jobs here.
The job title doesn't tell the whole story
Customers can add more than one tag (Instrument/group type), but only one can go in the job title.
So please note: just because the title of the gig says 'X Needed for event', that doesn't mean that's the only thing they're looking for.
Always check the tags they've requested. If one of them matches a tag on your profile, you'll be alerted.
This means that the customer has requested quotes from any of the tags they've listed.
For example, in this job below, it says "Indie Band needed" - this is the first tag a customer chose.
However, you'd also receive a notification if you're not an Indie Band but you also have the Function Band tag. Because they've asked for Function Band quotes too!
The moral of the story: Always check the customer's requested tags - not just the title! 😅
It isn't always perfect
However, that isn't to say that sometimes you won't receive notifications that aren't exactly right. As with any job site, you won't always receive the perfect suggestions.
So please send any irrelevant job alerts or recommendations to help@encoremusicians.com with
- Link to the job in question
- The reason it's irrelevant
And we'll look into why you received it and if there is anything we can optimise on your profile to improve relevancy!
